The event will be in memory of an amazing local peacemaker, Franjo Starcevic. We will meet other peacemakers of the area, and through a grant around 20 walkers will receive hospitality.

Gathering point for departure

We will be departing from Markopalj at 8:30 and walking 27 km, down to Jasenak. This walk is also in memory of Franjo Starcevic, who walked these same 27 km to visit people and mayors and convince them not to take up arms (during the war of the 90s). He succeeded in help avoid the war in the Gorski Kotar region.
